How We Review
We want you to know exactly where our information comes from, so you can decide how much weight to give it.
Where our information comes from
Each review draws on two sources:
- Official manufacturer information. Specs, features, what’s in the box and bundled software come from the manufacturer’s own product details.
- Owner reviews. We read real owner reviews on Amazon, both positive and negative, and summarize the patterns: what people like, what they complain about, and who the product seems to suit.
What we don’t do
- We don’t claim to have tested a product unless we have. If a review is based on owner feedback, we say so at the top of the post.
- We don’t make up specs or features. If the manufacturer or owners don’t mention something, we leave it out.
- We don’t copy reviews word for word. We summarize them in our own words.
- We don’t overstate what owners say. When a point comes from a single owner, we say “one owner,” not “many.”
Hands-on reviews
When we have used a product ourselves, the post will clearly say so, and our own experience will be marked separately from owner feedback.
How we make money
We earn a commission when you buy through our Amazon links, at no extra cost to you. That never decides what goes into a review. We include the complaints as well as the praise. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
